I wanted to introduce myself properly so we wouldn’t be strangers and you would know the woman behind our monthly newsletters.
I’m Vanessa Crescio—a Catholic wife, mom to a joyful and rambunctious little boy named Salvador and a “cool-as-a-cucumber” baby girl named Anastasia. With my husband Tony, I’m co-founder of FRESHImage Ministries (2016), a Catholic non-profit aimed at evangelizing the culture through catechesis, and FRESHImage Media (2021), a Catholic business curating unique Catholic products. We live on our family owned 1,000-acre farm in Wisconsin, where I juggle rural farm life, Lego disasters, endless piles of dishes and laundry, Mass runs (often late!), and part-time work with the Diocese of Madison.
Last year, I walked away from a high-stress corporate finance career—spreadsheets, late-night emails, the whole grind—in search for peace. God used that season to show me what I knew deep down but had forgotten: real peace starts in the home, in the messy, beautiful ordinary of home life. That’s why I’m so passionate about weaving faith into the everyday—turning laundry piles into prayer moments, finding peace and humor in spilled (breast)milk, and reminding myself (and you) that, in the middle of our imperfect, chaotic, everyday lives, we are immensely and perfectly loved.
Through FRESHImage Media, we create simple yet deep Catholic pieces—candles, mugs, prints, rosaries—that help transform homes into domestic churches. Nothing too fancy, just tools to keep Christ at the center of our homes when life is overwhelming.
So, that’s me in a nutshell: a fellow mom trying to keep her eyes on Jesus amidst the stinky clothes, cookie mishaps, and endless to-do lists.
