The mug features an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas, an image whose profundity and beauty are difficult to articulate. In the image, Mary carries the unborn Incarnate Son of God in her womb, and with her hands folded, lovingly entrusts both her own life and those entrusted to her care to the Heavenly Father. The quote on the reverse side are some of the words spoken by Our Lady, when she appeared to St. Juan Diego. In her words, Mary continually reassured Juan Diego of her loving protection of him. By relating these words to us, Juan Diego passes on this message from Mary to all those who live in loving communion with her only Son, Jesus Christ.
